Joy Patton doesn’t just teach the Bible—she paints it in color, tells it in story, and brings it to life with imagination and conviction. A creative communicator with a deep love for God’s Word, Joy blends theology and artistry to help people see truth in unforgettable ways. Whether she’s writing, teaching, or speaking, her goal is always the same: to guide others toward lasting transformation rooted in the Gospel.
Joy is the author of From Ice Queen to Princess, an expository study of Galatians that explores how we relate to God and others through the lens of spiritual transformation. She is also working on her allegorical novel The Myth of Enuff, which invites readers to confront their inadequacy and rest in the sufficiency of the Gospel. In addition, Joy is currently co-authoring a new book on biblical submission with her father, Dr. Ron Boehm—a project that brings together theological depth and generational wisdom.
She has edited Bible studies for Love Worth Finding ministries, turning Adrian Rogers’ timeless sermons into engaging, application-rich content for today’s readers. Joy has co-led studies like Gospel Transformation with author Mary Grace Birkhead and co-taught Women Who Dare to Believe alongside Bonnie Keen and Nan Gurley. She has also served as the keynote speaker at a youth retreat for Southpointe Community Church and a women’s retreat for Ascent Bible Church.
Raised as a pastor’s daughter in Macedonia, Ohio, Joy developed an early reverence for Scripture. She studied English Education and Communication at Grace College in Indiana and holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University. Over the past 12 years, she has taught English, theater, and creative writing in public schools, and has served as an instructional coach, a behavior coach, and Dean of Students.
Whether she’s mentoring students, discipling women, or writing for a wider audience, Joy Patton leads with clarity, conviction, and a heart anchored in the truth of God’s Word.
